For years, I found meaning in connection — through people, through moments, and, for a long time, through my bond with animals. My dog Rasta was more than a pet — he was family. And it was with him by my side that I rescued a dog chained and suffering, her leg so badly twisted it had to be amputated. We gave her love, and she gave us life — her pups, born just before she passed away, were my first true lesson in the power of compassion.
Since then, everything changed.
Over the last few years, I’ve travelled, I’ve seen, and I’ve realised this isn’t just a pet problem. It’s a world problem. Wild animals are being driven to extinction. Natural habitats are being destroyed. Species that once roamed freely are now hunted, displaced, or disappearing forever — all because of human greed, neglect, and exploitation.
Through this journey, I realised that kindness isn’t just a feeling — it’s action. And action can start with something small. A stone thrown. A ripple made.
That’s why I created The One Stone Project.
